Size: 48" x 36" x 6"

Material: Tennessee Rose Marble

Descripton: For the Pane monument, the family sent me a selection of photographs of period stones from the old burial ground in Princeton, NJ. After some conversation they settled on the above design which I remodeled and duplicated from a small snapshot. Every different convolution from the molding to the background depth represents a complete removal of that plane in order to lay out the next while preserving the height of the floral carving. I mention this for the serious student of stone carving to note. It equates to a mountain of hand labor.
